All That's On at Akshara Theatre
The Akshara Theatre is an exquisite arts complex set in the heart of New Delhi. It has four performance spaces for live shows, a library, shooting and editing studios for television, sound studios, workshops for set design, metal work and stone sculpture, as well as a studio for graphics design with computerized desktop publishing, and classrooms where the performing arts are taught to children and young people.

Shri Sai Ashirvad Kriti presents 4 plays at Aksahara Theatre over the weekend of August 27 -28.

2. Saala Main to Sahab Bun Gaya
Based on Moliere's The Would be Gentleman, the story revolves around Lotey Lal a middle-aged 'bourgeois' has one aim in life, which is to rise above this middle-class background and be accepted as an aristocrat.

3. Uncivilised Daughters
Abhivyakti - a theatre society of Maitreyi College presents a play that raises questions about women's sexuality, their bodies, and an attempt to understand the internalized oppression and the cultural conditioning with which women are forced to live.

4. The Revised Kama Sutra
Delhi's favourite musical, The Revised Kama Sutra is based on Richard Crasta's amusing, nostalgic story of a young boy growing up in the 60's and 70s on India's southwest coast, and his quest for love, sex and salvation.

Vijay, a young and passionate writer decides to get his writings published. In the journey, he is exposed to a much darker and deeper world. 'Syaahi' is an amalgamation of the three plays, 'Gidhade', 'Kutte' and 'Sakharam Binder' written by the celebrated Marathi playwright, Vijay Tendulkar. With shades of humour, thrill, fear and obsession the play promises to bind the audience till the very end.
