 Short Info:

Dahanu is a Taluka of Palghar district located on the North Side of Mumbai. It is 141 kms and 271 kms away from Mumbai and Pune respectively.

Enjoy the camping experience with Mother Nature away from daily hustle and bustle. Experience the Dark night with Chilled Air along with some warmth from the Bonfire playing fun games, singing songs and even dancing at the favourite tune. Cherish the peaceful time with your family and friends at our well-furnished campsite. Our campsite is covered with numerous Chikoo Trees. You can pluck fruits from the trees and taste the freshness of the same instantly.


Day 1

Welcome to our Campsite

Reach our Campsite by your own vehicle/ car around 4 pm. Tents will be allocated accordingly and relax for a while.

Tea & Snacks Time

Head to the dining area to enjoy the tea and snacks around 5 pm. You are here to relax so there is no hurry. Experience the leisure thoroughly.

Explore the campsite

Enjoy the view of this beautiful campsite which is also a nursery. The shades of different colour of flowers and the Chikoo Trees will make you feel wonderful.

Bonfire Session

Around 8 pm, cherish the fun of sitting near the campfire and listen to the music played by our Manager. You can also request them to play your favourite song if you want. Murmuring the songs and sitting in the beautiful atmosphere will make you feel highly refresh.

Dinner Delight

By 9 pm, feast on the local delicacies of Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian dishes cooked by the local villagers. Post dinner, sleep by listening to lullaby of nature.

Day 2

Good Morning Guys

Wake up around 7 am and enjoy the chillness of the air. Freshen up and have the local breakfast which will be simple but healthy.

Things To Carry:

  Carry woolen cloths or jacket; with Muffler, Shoes or warm cap for the night.

  Those are not used to cold nights, please carry personal extra blankets. (We will be providing bed, cushion & 1 blanket as part of the package)

  Please carry id proof eg. Pan card, driving license


General Guidelines:

  Do not carry valuables or items like jewelry, laptops or any other things.

  Management & Campsite is not responsible for any kind of loss or damage of your belongings.

  Do not smoke or light any items inside the tent as it may cause fire in the tent.

  Please Remove your footwear outside the tent and keep tent neat & tidy.

  Weapons or any inflammable things are not allowed in the premises or in the tent.

  If any damages are caused to the campsite, tent or bedding, camper/ guest will be responsible for the damage and will have to pay the charges for the same.

  Strictly no use of drugs in any kind or any form or any other kind of intoxicants.

  All guests must follow the camping rules.

  Anything that is not included in packages is excluded.

- Yes

Is there any age group criteria?
- Anyone can enjoy at campsite, as its fully safe.

Is there any parking facility?
-  Yes, there is parking facility

How will be the stay facility?
- Stay will be arranged in tents (2/3 person sharing basis), blanket and pillow will be there

Is BBQ available?

- Yes. BBQ is available with additional cost of INR 400 per KG with BBQ kit.

Really loved this trek.. while going in , the uphill task is a little daunting.

The woods are real thick at some places and ambiance is quite refreshing.

The climb is difficult at some places as there are not well constructed steps.

However, some parts up the fort are steep and takes a challenging climb.

The paths are streams of either bogs or mossy rocks -- each having their own fun hazards.

But that is what keeps the trek natural and exciting.

There are pretty white crabs in the stream-paths -- very interesting.

The trip to top was awesome.

The strong breeze blowing at the top quickly dries off the sweat from the climb too.

This was the week of onslaught of the monsoon, so it was amazing warm monsoon rain and as we got closer there was also mist and fog.

It was green and wet all over.

The view of the surrounding countryside from the top is simply breathtaking. Well worth the climb up.

The fort is in ruins and makes a beautiful place for pictures..

The greenery just added to the awesomeness. the view from top is gorgeous..

There is nothing much to see atop the fort except some water cisterns and the thumbs up point.

The shape of the hill-top is fascinating. It replicates your mood giving you a thumbs up when you finish a couple of tough climbs,

but also taking the opportunity of showing a ""up yours"" when you're struggling.

From the top you can really appreciate the control this fort would have given the incumbent in seasons like this.

Really loved the time spent on top.

There is nothing much to see at the top of the fort except the surroundings.

However, we were treated to a spectacular view from the top.

It indeed feels great once we have reached the top.

But the moment we reached the top, clouds began moving in and all of a sudden it just started pouring..

The sudden change was indeed welcome.

But due to the rains, the path down had become super slippery..

Coming down was difficult in the bad patches due to steepness of the rocky roads.

My research had dismissed the climb as an ""easy"" one: I can attest that in the monsoon rain and fog it is definitely close to the top rating on difficulty.

But this shouldn't daunt you since you're likely to be surrounded

by singing dancing dare-devil fellow trekkers in this season.

There is a small bird sanctuary just at the base.

We were treated to the sights of peacocks and a few little rabbits.

All is well that ends well. It was worth the while, and the victory of surmounting the difficult is always sweet.

Overall Experience was amazing...Simply wow... cannot get over with the great experience...totally spellbound by the beauty of the place...

never felt so close to nature especially after the concrete jungle that is Mumbai

The initial climb is a tough one, the middle is a ridge -- a reward with great views.

The climb is steep but on the bright side very short ( barely 3 kms).

However I feel that this trek does offer a great break from busy and polluted citylife.

In conclusion, trekking up Karnala is a fun and enriching experience.

Thanks to SSA for this beautiful memorable experience... Team leaders were very polite and helpful...The food was provided just like ghar ka khana... Fellow trekkers were so good and friendly... really enjoyed...Once again Thank you SSA....
