Devkund Waterfall Trek

One of most amazing camping and trekking locations of Mumbai, has now opened up for treks and camping. During monsoon this place was banned sighting safety due to alarming water levels. Camp sites surrounding mountains and the two and half hour trek to the mesmerising Devkund fall promises you most scenic views. This is gonna be one of your most exciting treks this season. Swimming in the fresh water pond takes away all your tiredness and rejuvenates you. Be prepared to take a dip !

Itinerary
05:45 am: Meet us at Swaminarayan temple outside Dadar station, east
06:00 am: Start bus journey to Bhira
06:25 am: K-Star Mall, Chembur East pickup
07:00 am: Vashi Bridge Pickup point
07:20 am: Kharghar Flyover Pickup point
09:00 am: Breakfast enroute
10:30 am: Reach base village
10:45 am: Start trek
01:00 pm: Reach devkund waterfall and chillout.
01:45 pm: Have lunch
02:30 pm: Start trekking back to the base village
04:30 pm: Evening Tea and snacks at village
05:30 pm: Start return journey
09:00 pm: Tentatively reach Mumbai

Lunch - As its dense forest area and we will be on the move constantly it would not be possible for us to arrange for lunch, hence participants are requested to carry from home or can get things parcelled enroute. during bus journey.

Caution:

  • Wear full clothes and do not use deodorant or perfume.
  • Do not carry - Jholas / sling bag / Trolley bag (This is a trek, not picnic)
  • Avoid wearing jewellery.
  • Consumption of alcohol or any narcotic substance is strictly prohibited.
  • It may rain, please pack your belongings accordingly. Cover your bags with rain cover.

Disclaimer
The participants who wish to reach the event starting point in their own vehicle have to reach the meeting point at given time, post that organisers may go out of network range and wont be able to assist. In such situation the organiser shall not be liable for any inconvenience what-so-ever and the participants will be considered as dropouts against which no refund will be made. The organiser reserves the right to make necessary change in itinerary at any time before or during the event based on situation at hand. Trek leaders decision will be final and binding, no arguments will be entertained. During the event if any participant or group does not follow safety instructions and indulges in acts that lead to physical harm, or gets lost in the forest / mountain the organisers will not be held liable for it. Tickets can be cancelled 7 days prior to the event and 90% amount will be refunded. No refund will be made in case a person misses the train/bus mentioned in the itinerary. All participants are deemed to be physically fit for the event. In case a participant decides to dropout during the event he/she has to bear the extra cost of arranging his/her return. This cost will be charged at-actual-basis. If the event gets cancelled due to natural calamities, rains, landslide, snowfall, avalanche, regulatory restrictions or any external factor, only 50% refund will be made. Stay options mentioned in the itinerary are subject to natural conditions i.e tents cant be pitched if rains and/or rain storm is being predicted. In such cases an attempt will me made to provide shelter for the night. Food during the trekking and camping events is sourced locally from villages and we put in our best efforts to provide the best, participants should acknowledge the fact that remote village people are not trained for catering services and our expectations should be accommodating. MischiefTreks has a reputation of providing memorable experience for trekkers and adventure lovers, our events are not deigned for tourists or fussy people. Trekking and Camping belongs to adventure sports industry where the participants are part of a "Team",  here there are no waiters, caterers, guests/clients to serve the tourists.

 

 

Cancellation Policy

90% will be refunded if cancelled 15 days in advance.

75% will be refunded if cancelled 10 days in advance.

50% will be refunded if cancelled 05 days in advance.

25% will be refunded if cancelled 03 days in advance.

0% refund if cancelled within 72 hours of the event date and time

Q: I have booked/paid for the event, is my booking confirmed ?

Ans. No ! , your booking can become invalid if you do not submit the "Most Important Details" required for emergency situations. For any Trek/Adventure event the organizers need to have your details atleast 24 hours prior to the event. We do not allow anyone to campsite until we have complete and authentic details of the person. This info is crucial in case of emergency, and is a mandatory KYC parameter. The link for the "personal details form" will be sent along the ticket confirmation email. Submitting incomplete/incorrect/fake details in the form will make your booking invalid and no refund will be provided in such case.

Q. We are coming by our own vehicle for the event, where should we reach ?

Ans. Meet us at "Bhira Petrol Pump". We will be providing the exact map location of the meeting point on Whatsapp group which will be created 24 hrs prior to the event date.

Q. How do we get in touch after reaching meeting point ?

Ans. We will be creating a whatsapp group for coordination where you will be provided all the necessary information regarding contact person, exact point to meet etc..

Q. What is provided in meals ?

Ans. Meal will consist of veg and nonveg options. rice, chapati, daal, seasonal veg, salad, Chicken curry.

Q. How many people will be at the coming for this trek ?

Ans. Depends on number of people booking the event. Generally the batch size is approximately 25 participants.

Q. Is it safe for solo participants?

Ans. Yes, mostly 30% of participants come up solo and blend in.

Q. Is it safe for girls?

Ans. Mischief Treks has a track record of making our trekking and camping events extremely safe for girls. Normally 60 75 % of our participants are females.

Q.How long is the trek ?

Ans. Normally it takes two hours to ascend and two hours to descend.
