About the Artists
Part-time stock-broker, a dance enthusiast and a full-time Gujju who performs comedy on the weekends, Sonali Thakker is an exciting new comedy talent in the town. Talking about grave topics like travelling, shopping and chaprigiri in her sets, Sonali's has performed on the biggest of stages including Canvas Laugh Club and NCPA. In 2017, she took her special 'Almost There' to stage across the country.
Bhavish Ailani is Sindhi by birth and funny by profession. Being an MBA like almost everyone else, Bhavish does not rely too much on his education to make a living. Instead he uses observational comedy and self-deprecating humor to make life bearable. Veteran of over one hundred ridiculous shows, most of which he has hosted himself, this is pretty much the only thing he is good at. Like most comics on the circuit, Bhavish has recently gone through a break-up. So please show him some love and assume everything we've said here is true.
Madhvendra’s comedy is a comment on our contemporary society and its politics. He is known for his funny one-liners, witty opinions and his awesome charm. His forte is his brevity.
Chinmay is a standup comedian and has watched the Batman series over 100 times now, Inspired by that, he told a girl, 'I'm not the boyfriend you need right now, I'm the boyfriend you deserve.' That was his last encounter with the girl. He's still clueless about what went wrong there.
Tushar Abhichandani is a freelance journalist, a television writer, a Sindhi-in-denial and a pseudo-intellectual. He specializes in picking professions that pay very little and is therefore full of angst. The stage is his outlet and helps him satisfy his inner attention seeker.
Hoshang is religious hoodie wearer and almost a graduate. He is still in the process of growing up in life and in stand-up.
