Firstly, if you are planning for the monsoon treks around the season, they are gonna be a good experience because the weather is awesome. If you are taking the help of an events organizer, you want them to add to the experience rather than making you feel annoyed even admist the pleasant surroundings. Live before you die is a poor organizer of Kalsubai trek and it is better to avoid them. Both the trek leaders Smit and Kaustubh were lacking in experience of leading a trek. I have done treks previously on my own as well as with event organisers but this one with Live before you die was one of the worst experiences I have had. Both the trek leaders had no value for time and from the start itself were not at all bothered to go as per the plan. We finally left at 7 pm against the plan of 4 pm and it would have been even more late if left up to the organziers. There was even no proper planning to have the size of the group equal to the capacity of bus and last minute adjustments were being made. The same was an issue while return as well. Both the trek leaders failed to help the group in crucial moments of ascent as well as descent during the trek and people were doing it on their own. The trek isn't hard but rain had made the tracks very slippery. I have saved the worst part for last. The trek leaders instead of letting the group sleep the night before in the bus played music throughout with singing and antakshiri which made it more of a picnic and was evident in how some of the people not being able to handle the strain tge next day because of lack of sleep. There are other pointers as well but I guess I would have made myself clear. Please go to Kalsubai trek but not with Live before you die. - by Abishake Koul for Monsoon Special Trek To Mt.
