Hoirong is an awesome four-piece rock band from India. Their music is very confusing, with traces of punk, post-rock, pop, noise, art-rock and disco(!) jostling for space and making fleeting appearances.
"Conscious poetry over electronic basslines; because we all need to think, but we also need to dance."
Avinash Tewari is a member of vocal ensemble Voctronica, and an established beatboxer that has performed with the likes of A R Rahman, this is his journey into composition, songwriting, and poetry. The music of this project is inspired by Hip Hop, Electronica and Bass Music, while the writing has been inspired by urban life, and conscious speakers and writers of the last century; from Yogananda to George Carlin, and their interpretation for current times. Hard hitting, objective poetry about life in the 21st century is written to bass heavy, Hip Hop inspired electronica; so that we can all move and dance, but think about the things that matter while we do.
