RAJMACHI FORT TREK Via Kondana caves (Slots Closed)

Rajmachi fort is one of the most popular forts around the Lonavala region. The height of this fort from sea level is 2710 feet and it offers an amazing view of the Sahyadri mountains and the backwaters of Shirota Dam.
The fort consists of two Balekillas [Shrivardhan and Manaranjan] which are the main attraction points here. The best season to visit Rajmachi is the monsoon and the winter season. Nature is at its best during this time and one can see amazing waterfalls and lush green forests enroute. The locals here are very friendly and ensure that the guests get the best hospitality possible.
The pre-monsoon showers are a peak time for fireflies to mate. Male fireflies glow, to attract their female counterparts. Though they aren't very rare to be sighted individually, seeing them in thousands at the same time is a splendid sight."

ITINERARY:

FRIDAY :
-8:30 PM Catch Train to Karjat.

SATURDAY
- 11:00 AM Reach Karjat station
- 12:00 PM Have lunch
- 12:30 PM Start to Base village.
- 1:30 PM Reach Base village and enjoy some time in the village and water nearby.
- 6:30 PM Reach Village on top and Have dinner.

SUNDAY
- 4:30 AM Wake Up call and start trek to Rajmachi Fort
- 9:00AM Breakfast and Start back to Karjat

MONDAY

THINGS TO CARRY:
1) A Rucksack / haversack, in other words a bag u can put all your stuff in and hang on ur back, try to keep the bag less then 5 kgs with 2 lts water
2) Raincoat/poncho for yourself with rain cover for bag
3) Trekking /sport shoes with extra pair of socks [Preferably shoes which cover till your ankle]
4) Torch / Flashlight /headlight
5) 1 track pants/ loose trousers - full length & a T Shirt and other Toiletries needed.
6) Mosquito repellent.

9) Photo Id (any valid card with your photograph and signature on it).
