Jan 14 - Jan 20- (7D/6N)
DAY 1:(Jan 14) REACH GUWAHATI AND LEAVE FOR CHIRAPUNJEE:
Reach Guwahati around 8.30 AM. Refresh, Have breakfast and head towards Chirapunjee. Check into the camp spot by evening and take a stroll around the camp spot. Set up a campfire and retire to your tents as and when you wish to.
DAY 2: (Jan 15) EXPLORE CHERRAPUNJEE, TREK TO DOUBLE DECKER ROOT BRIDGE TREK:
Wake up and have breakfast. Post that, explore Cherrapunjee. The region is blessed with beautiful waterfalls and natural caves. Visit Nohkalikai Falls, Mawsmai Cave and Dainthlen Falls, Wei Sawdong and others. Leave for Tryna Village which is the starting point to the Nongriat Village Trek (Double Decker Living Root Bridge Trek). The trek is about 2hrs. On our way to Nongriat, Visit the first village - Nongthymmai, home to the longest living root bridge, reach Nongriat and head to Double Decker Root Bridge. Head back to Nongriat and stay in the village homestay for the night.
DAY 3:(Jan 16) TREK TO RAINBOW FALLS:
Wake up to a mesmerizing view through your window. Post breakfast, trek to the Rainbow Falls for an ultimate experience and lose yourself in the beautiful turquoise blue water Natural ponds. Spend the evening with bonfire amidst the jungles of the Khasi hills. And head back to Nongriat to the homestay.
DAY 4: (Jan 17) DRIVE TO MAWLYNNONG AND STAY:
Post breakfast, trek back to Tyrna Village (2-3 hours). Start driving towards Mawlynnong (Asia's cleanest village). Stay in Mawlynnnong.
DAY 5: (Jan 18) DRIVE TO DAWKI:
Post Breakfast, Head towards Dawki which is bordering town in the Indo-Bangla border. Visit the Indo Bangla Border at Tamabil, which is just a kilometre away from Dawki town. Go on boating through the crystal clear waters of Umngot River. Set up a campfire and settle down for the night in a river camp at Shnongpdeng
DAY 6: (Jan 19) SHILLONG VIA JOWAI:
Post Breakfast, Start towards Shillong via Jowai visit Krang Suri Waterfall. Reach Shillong and explore few spots Shilong includes the Wards Lake, the Shillong Cathedral, Police Bazar and Elephant Falls. Stay in Shillong
DAY 7: (Jan 20) HEAD BACK TO GUWAHATI :
Post breakfast, Head towards Guwahati and board flight to your respective destinations post 2.00 PM
