Harihar Fort Nasik which approx 50 km from Igatpuri and is an important fort in Nashik district, it was constructed to look upon the trade route through Gonda Ghat. It receives many visitors because of its peculiar rock-cut steps,there are two base village Harshewadi and Nirgupada,and if you are all first time into trekking this is also best fort to visit with little thrill at the climb. It takes about an hour to reach the scarp of the hill on which the fort is situated. The ascent through the rock-cut steps is wonderful. It is like a stone ladder placed at 60 degree along the scarp. The steps are worn out at many places yet the holes on either side of the steps are conveniently cut for holding onto. After reaching the main entrance, the paths takes a left traverse and again a helical rock cut steps are to be climbed, which are more steep than the earlier. The steps finally end with a narrow entrance. At many places the steps are very narrow that, only a single person can climb at a time.

ITINERARY

  • You have to board CST-Kasara fast local from your nearest local train station 
  • Train time : CST-10.50pm, Dadar-11.05pm, Kurla-11.13pm, Ghatkopar-11.18pm, Thane-11.34pm
  • Reach Kasara by 01.18am 
  • Meet us at the ticket Window of Platform No 4 at Kasara station from there we will take the jeeps and head to Dhaba where participants can freshen up. 02.00am: Head out from Dhaba and proceed towards the Base village. 
  • Start Trekking by 3.45am
  • We will reach the top around 6am, right in time to view the mesmerizing sunrise. 
  • Its time for Photography and exploring the fort, post sunrise we start descending. 
  • Have Breakfast in base village and start journey back to Kasara around 11 am.

Q: I have booked/paid for the event, is my booking confirmed ?

Ans. No ! , your booking can become invalid if you do not submit the "Most Important Details" required for emergency situations. For any Trek/Adventure event the organizers need to have your details atleast 24 hours prior to the event. We do not allow anyone to campsite until we have complete and authentic details of the person. This info is crucial in case of emergency, and is a mandatory KYC parameter. The link for the "personal details form" will be sent along the ticket confirmation email. Submitting incomplete/incorrect/fake details in the form will make your booking invalid and no refund will be provided in such case. 

Q. We are coming by our own vehicle for the event, where should we reach ?

Ans. You need to reach "Dhaba" at scheduled meeting time, the "Dhaba" is at 15 min driving distance from kasara station. This is where we will halt for dinner, from here we you can follow our vehicles. After this point cellphone network coverage is bad and our team wont be contactable. You will be given exact coordinates after you finish booking formalities. 

Q. How many people will be at the coming for this trek ?

Ans. Depends on number of people booking the event. Generally the batch size is approximately 25 participants.

Q. Is it safe for solo participants? 

Ans. Yes, mostly 30% of participants come up solo and blend in. 

Q. Is it safe for girls? 

Ans. Mischief Treks has a track record of making our trekking and camping events extremely safe for girls. Normally 60 75 % of our participants are females.

Q. How long is the trek ?

Ans. Normally it takes two hours to ascend and two hours to descend. 

Q. Why is submitting emergency contact details and KYC information mandatory?

Ans. Its a standard protocol and also a guideline by Govt of India. We are accountable for every "Human-Body" present at our campsite or trek is our responsibility and in case of any unfortunate event we will be asked by authorities to provide all relevant information about you. In order to comply with the authorities we have to take authentic information from you. Fake/Incomplete information or non-submission of the details will make your ticket (paid amount) invalid and no refund will be provided in such case. You will not be allowed to participate in the event. 

Q. Can we pay in cash or installment ?

Ans. Sorry we do not accept cash payments. For installment scheme you will have to pay one-time processing fee of Rs.500 per person. 

Q. What is the last date of booking ?

Ans. Bookings close once tickets are sold out. Ideally you need to book atleast 2-3 days in advance. 

Q. How many people will be at the trekking event ?

Ans. Depends on number of people booking the event. Generally the batch size is approximately 15-20 Mischief Treks participants. 

Q. How should I book the event ?

Ans. All you have to do is press the book now button on this page and follow the instructions.

Q. How do we get in touch after reaching meeting point ? 

Ans. We will be creating a whatsapp group one night prior to the event for coordination where you will be provided all the necessary information regarding contact person, exact point to meet etc..

Q. Will we be returning at exact time mentioned in the itinerary ?

Ans. The Itinerary is for reference purpose only, it is based on average time taken during our previous events. Actual timeline for a particular date depends on Weather conditions, Traffic Conditions, Participants speed and endurance.  


 

Disclaimer : The participants who wish to reach the event starting point in their own vehicle have to reach the meeting point at given time, post that organisers may go out of network range and wont be able to assist. In such situation the organiser shall not be liable for any inconvenience what-so-ever and the participants will be considered as dropouts against which no refund will be made. The organiser reserves the right to make necessary change in itinerary at any time before or during the event based on situation at hand. Trek leaders decision will be final and binding, no arguments will be entertained. During the event if any participant or group does not follow safety instructions and indulges in acts that lead to physical harm, or gets lost in the forest / mountain the organisers will not be held liable for it. Tickets can be cancelled 7 days prior to the event and 90% amount will be refunded. No refund will be made in case a person misses the train/bus mentioned in the itinerary. All participants are deemed to be physically fit for the event. In case a participant decides to dropout during the event he/she has to bear the extra cost of arranging his/her return. This cost will be charged at-actual-basis. If the event gets cancelled due to natural calamities, rains, landslide, snowfall, avalanche only 50% refund will be made. Stay options mentioned in the itinerary are subject to natural conditions i.e tents cant be pitched if rains and/or rain storm is being predicted. In such cases an attempt will me made to provide shelter for the night. Food during the trekking and camping events is sourced locally from villages and we put in our best efforts to provide the best, participants should acknowledge the fact that remote village people are not trained for catering services and our expectations should be accommodating. MischiefTreks has a reputation of providing memorable experience for trekkers and adventure lovers our events are not deigned for tourists or fussy people. Trekking and camping belong to Adventure Sports industry where the participants are part of a "team", there are no waiters, caterers, guests/clients.
