It climbs out of lush green valleys of Kullu to a perpendicular overhang, high in the mountains. The overhang you stand on is almost like a balcony view to a different world below ; the deserts of Lahaul. From the pass, you see the Lahaul valley in one wide panoramic sweep. It is one the most dramatic twists in landscape youll see. Also you will be visiting the absolutely scenic Chandratal lake whose beauty will definitely leave you awestruck. According to the reports from the Indian Meteorological Department, the weather in 2019 is the most favorable for trekking in the Himalayas. Day 1 - Report at the Manali Base Camp
Arrive in Manali on your own and report at our campsite. The first day is reserved for a meet and greet, and you will be given an orientation session by the trek leader covering information like rucksack packing, walking techniques and information about the trek and the route. Acclimatize yourself with the weather and you can explore the town on your own. Retire for the night and camp in the meadows for the night to acclimatize better.
Day 2 - Drive From Manali to Jobra then Trek to Chikka

Altitude: 9800 feet
On the second day, we leave the base camp by 8 AM. We will be carrying lunch and breakfast with us. The first leg of the day's travel would include a jeep drive from Base Camp to Hampta Dam. The trail is surrounded with Maple, Pine, Walnut, and Oak trees, making it refreshing and enjoyable. After reaching Hampta Dam we prepare to trek to Chikka, which is also our final destination for the day. It is an easy stretch, as you will be crossing two wooden bridges and a small patch of forest. We reach the campsite at Chikka and prepare for our stay overnight post dinner.
Day 3 - Chikka to Balu Ka Ghera

Time required: 4-5 hours
Altitude: 11072 feet
Wake up to the beautiful himalayan sunrise and get ready for your journey to our Balu ka Ghera campsite. Today, youll experience the true beauty of the Himalayas as you set eyes for the very first glimpse of the towering snow-capped peaks. These are the Dhauladhar ranges, the outer Himalayan chain of mountains. Walk through flowering meadows and valleys that create a delightful picture-perfect scenery for you to revel in. Cross a log bridge over a fast flowing mountain stream, to arrive at Balu ka Ghera, the hibernating grounds for the great Himalayan brown bear. Reach the campsite and relax and enjoy some delicious dinner and retire for the night in tents.
Day 4 - Balu Ka Ghera to Siaguru via Hampta Pass

Time required: 8-9 hours
Altitude: 14100 feet
Start early in the morning today as you have a long journey planned ahead of you. After an early morning breakfast you will start trekking towards the most awaited Hampta Pass which is located at an astonishing height of 14100 feet. Today you will experience the dynamic landscape that the Great Himalayas hold within its large arms! A perfect learning ground for beginners in trekking, the trail has easy and gradual slopes. Following these trails, arrive at the spell binding Hampta Valley and experience its overwhelming beauty at the best. Continue to cross the Lahaul Valley after leaving Hampta Village to reach Siaguru campsite where dinner and tents will be ready for you to retire for the night.
Day 5 - Siaguru to Chatru then drive to Chandratal

Time required: 4 hours
Altitude: 11000 feet
Today we have an easy descent through the Hampta Valley. The massive mountains of the Pir Panjal and Spiti ranges dominate the entire landscape till the campsite at Chatru. Chatru is a confluence point of paths from Rohtang Pass, Hampta Pass and Spiti. From Chatru, if the road and weather conditions permitwe head to the absolutely scenic Chandratal lake via jeeps and camp by the lakeside amidst the spectacular landscape. Have some dinner beneath a sky filled with twinkling stars and later retire for the night.
Day 6 - Drive from Chandratal to Manali
Post breakfast we drive to Manali via Chatru and the famous Rohtang Pass. This will be the end of your wonderful journey with us and we bid you goodbye here.
