Shenomics is excited to host the next Mentoring Circle this year, which will be on the topic of 'Belonging'.
The discussion will focus on what belonging means and the impact it has on people in a group, and about insider/outsider dynamics. Our Guest Expert for the day will be Jennie Manchikanti, who has 16 years of corporate experience across Talent functions. In her current role as a Diversity & Inclusion Practitioner at EY’s (Ernst and Young LLP) Global Delivery Services, Jennifer is involved in the design, development and implementation of D&I programs. She drives initiatives that focus on gender parity, cross-cultural and multi-generational teaming, belonging and inclusive leadership. She is also responsible for providing strategic direction and a robust implementation plan to the Professional Networks at EY GDS. She was one of the founding members and currently part of the advisory team of a charity called U&I. She also started and co-leads ‘Soul Sisters’ a mentoring group for women in Bangalore.
The 3 key take-aways from the session will be:
1. What is belonging? Understanding Insider/Outsider dynamics.
2. The business case for belonging.
3. How authenticity plays a role in impacting a sense of belonging for ourselves and for others we work with.
