It helped to see cubbon park through new eyes and fresh perspectives The walk was just the right length of time, and the organiser was friendly and well informed.I am new to Bangalore and it was a great introduction to the city,

Best Sunday of the year!

I'm a night owl and hence not an early riser. I have been trying out various things to break this cycle but there aren't many interesting morning things to do in the city. I read about Bangalore walk and run on Facebook and thought I'll give it a try and boy I thank my stars! :)  The two hour walk tour by Praveen took us through some parts of Bangalore that I have "seen" for the last 35 years but I "knew" very little about. That small capsule of two hours has enlightened me to such an extent that I think this was my best Sunday this year! Interesting things I learnt today (without spoiling the thrill for you).

  1. Why did the British build such mammoth structures (like the high court now )in the city even though their needs were small?
  2. St Marks Cathedral looks similar to?
  3. Various avenues at Cubbon park? Why cubbon? Etc etc etc

This is going to make a great beer time talk with my friends! Thanks Praveen for adding to my personal and social life!
I'm looking forward to more such walks covering different parts of the city!
