China is one of the fastest developing economies in the world and is known all over for their ease of business, but during ancient times China was ruled by a number of Dynasties and Emperors who lived lavish lives pursuing the beauty of the finer arts like dance, music, calligraphy, and paintings. These Emperor did not only want to enjoy these finer arts but they also paid special attention to the satisfaction received from good food. So, over the entire course of Chinese history, food has been explored until their very limits; various types of flavours ranging from sweet, sour, spicy etc, and even ingredients that are not used anywhere else in the world. They have devised hundreds of ways to cook and preserve their foods and the passion with which they researched their food and can leave one in awe.
So, this year the students of ASKIHMCA have decided to celebrate the ancient traditions of China by bringing to the people, the flavours of China (Huaxia de Weidao). We are going to showcase the Eight Great Traditional Cuisines of China:
