Abstract- Building secure, real-time, and scalable Industrial IoT Applications is complex. This requires good design patterns and standards.
Syam will discuss how to design the Edge Applications for the Industrial IoT using IEEE P1931.1 – Roof Computing.
Bio- Syam leads the IoT Delivery at NTT Data and Subject Matter Expert for the Internet of Things. Winner of the IoT Thought Leadership 2018 at IoT India Congress.
Syam has co-authored a book on All IP Networks, filed for 22 patents, written 8 RFC standard for the Internet at IETF, contributed to various standards at IEEE and other SDOs. Syam led the team that developed the world’s first IPv6 ready logo certified TCP/IPv6 stack. Syam also volunteers for standard development and mentoring students, teachers, government and startups.
Mr. Madanapalli is the chair for IEEE P1931.1, the Roof Computing working group, at IEEE Standards Association.

Abstract- Digitization, Modernization, and Connected Ecosystem is gaining full steam across various industry segments – be it Industrial/Manufacturing, Enterprises or Consumer. IoT and Analytics are becoming the central theme for most of these projects. All these projects have a promise of lower operational cost and better user experience. Having the right IoT platform is at the center of success. And there are hundreds of them in the market. So making the right choice is not easy. We have seen quite a few instances that some of the IoT platforms do not live up to the expectations after some time. Customizability, scalability, cost, etc starts becoming an issue as the solution starts scaling.
This session explores various dimensions which need to be looked at for

Bio- Manu Tayal is a VP-IoT CoE spearheading the IoT solutions and service offerings. He comes with a rich experience of 20+ years in the IT industry.
Within IoT his focus is on servicing customers to build the right solutions right from devices to cloud to mobile to analytics-enabled applications. Top three areas being driven by him are related to Industrial IoT, Logistics and Connected Products. His role involves technology direction, business development, and capability building.
Manu was instrumental in incubating IoT with Happiest Minds about 6 years back. He started his career with Wipro and then moved on to Mindtree during its early days.
Manu holds a Bachelor’s degree from IIT Roorkee in Electronics and Communications.
