"The need for imagination, a sense of truth and a feeling of responsibility - these are the three forces which are the very nerve of education." - Rudolf Steiner.

Greetings from the Kingdom of Childhood!

Kingdom Of Childhood (KOC) is a 10-year young Waldorf school in JP Nagar, Bangalore.

At the Kingdom Of Childhood, we are celebrating the centenary year of Waldorf education with a feeling of gratitude and with the threefold objective of

  • Spreading Waldorf education as a holistic practice that nurtures every child in the head, heart, and hands
  • Reinforcing a simple natural parenting style which lets every child blossom organically at his/her own pace
  • Promoting sustainable practices that encourage man to co-exist with nature through organic foods, ecologically sensitive products, and simple lifestyle choices

Please join us in celebrating purnam - Waldorf 100. We have put together talks by eminent Waldorf educationists, experiential sessions and hands-on workshops on various aspects of pedagogy. Catch a glimpse of the community spirit which is the cornerstone of every Waldorf school.

A little more about Waldorf education -

Waldorf education, also known as Steiner education, is based on the educational philosophy of Rudolf Steiner, the founder of Anthroposophy. Its pedagogy strives to develop pupils' intellectual, artistic, and practical skills in an integrated and holistic manner - engaging the Head, Heart & Hands in the learning process.

The principles of Waldorf Education evolve from an understanding of human development and the consciousness of the child at every age in the growing years. The Waldorf curriculum is age-appropriate, experimental and academically rigorous.

2019 marks 100 years of completion from the time the first Waldorf school came into existence. A century later, it has become the largest independent school movement in the world, with about 1,200 independent Waldorf schools, 1,800 kindergartens and 646 centers for special education located in 75 countries.
