Tadiandamol: is on one of the most beautiful, uncommercial peaks in Karnataka, it is elevated to about 1748 m and known as the highest peak in Coorg/Kodagu district. The Tadiandamol trek offers adventurers an opportunity to explore the stunning vegetation, rare mountain birds and pretty butterflies flitting from tree to tree. A panoramic view from the peaks is an eye-candy for the hikers.

The trail takes you through the vast expanse of the Shola forest, It is a day trek which makes it even more doable for city folks- whether avid trekkers and hikers. A famous historical landmark “Nalknad-Palace” resides in the foothills of the mountain.

Short Itinerary

Start from Bangalore – reach Bhagamandala – get ready for the trek at the campsite/homestay – Jeep ride to Nalknad Palace – then to the base of Tadiandamol – trek to the peak – return to base – jeep ride to the campsite/homestay – campfire.

Next day – visit Namdroling Monastery (Golden Temple) – back to Bangalore.

Rules and Guidelines:

* Please do not expect any luxury during the trip.

* No alcohol or loud music.

* Strictly no plastics to be thrown, we follow NTP

* All participants have to fill disclaimer forms

* All participants must follow the outdoor leader's instructors and must not stray away from the

group.

* It could be quite cold in the camp/homestay.

* Veg food will be served during the trip. We will not be able to entertain to specific choice/demand of

the participant.

Things to carry:

1. Rucksack/ backpack.

2. Shoes with good grip.

3. Plastic covers to keep your stuff dry.

4. Slippers/ floaters for walking around the campsite/homestay.

5. Torch/Flashlight

6. Water Bottle (2 L)

7. Toilet kit

8. Any specific medicines you need.

9. Camera/Binocular (optional)

10. Carry your Identification card and a passport size photo.

11. Extra pair of clothes.

Refund Policy:

Case 1: If the cancellation is done before 7th day from the trek date then FULL REFUND is applicable.

Case 2: If the cancellation is done before 4th day from the trek date then HALF REFUND is applicable. However, you can opt to carry forward the amount for a future event happening in the coming 2 months.

Case 3: If the cancellation is done after 1 day from the trek date then NO REFUND is applicable. But, you are allowed to transfer your booking to anybody else with prior confirmation

Itinerary

Day 0:

Leave from Bangalore late evening. We request you to have some light food before traveling. This trip would be an overnight journey to Bhagamandala in which we would have an informal introduction and have fun.

Day 1:

Tadiandamol Morning is very beautiful, we would reaching Coorg about 6 am. perfect time to witness the Tadiandammol beautiful morning.

We will reach Home Stay in the morning. Fresh up at the homestay and Set up for the trek after a nice breakfast.

Hop on the jeep to the Tadiandamol base. Start the trek from the base. The rough trekking path will readily ignite the Trekker within you. The dense forest trail leads to the first check point of the trek – Big Rock, also used by many as the camping site/homestay.

Walk past the big rock to the narrow muddy path. And continue the journey to the slightly steep stone trail.

The uneven stone path leads you in a dense forest. The steep slopes of the forest make the trek more challenging and adventures.

Nothing could be compared to the feeling of reaching the peak of Tadiandamol.

A panoramic view of the peaks makes you fall in love with nature with its vast expansion of mountain range and valleys. The top is usually covered in low, moving clouds.

We would spend some time at the peak to rest and have our packed lunch.

We will start descending to the base for the much-anticipated campfire and hot dinner and of course bonfire and then we will be sleeping in tents/homestay.

Day 2:

Get fresh at a homestay in the morning and have a nice hot breakfast at the homestay.

We would walk to Nalknad Palace, a.k.a Naalnaad Aremane in local Kodava language. The palace was built by Doddaveerarajendra in the years 1792 AD. This elegant two storeyed palace served as the last refuge for Chikkaveerarajendra before he surrendered to the British in 1834 AD.

We would start our journey to Namdroling Monastery in the bus. Namdroling Monastery is also known as Golden Temple is situated at Bylakuppe in Coorg district, near Kushalnagar.

It is a beautiful temple with Tibetan mythology paintings and the idols of the Buddha covered in gold. We will spend some time there and then board the bus, back to Bangalore.
