Blessing Chimanga - Band leader, Marimba + vocals
Blessing Chimanga is an internationally acclaimed artist as a marimba player, singer, songwriter and percussionist from Zimbabwe. He's been touring world wide (Asia, Europe, North & South America, Africa) with his own African bands as well as with intercultural projects as musical ambassador of Zimbabwe, e.g. Zimboita, Kunzwana #1 or Mama Africa. Blessing's music is marked by a unique sound produced out of his virtuos marimba playing and the true strong rhythms of Africa. The main attraction of the act is the high African energy live on stage, but also the outstanding entertaining talent of Blessing Chimanga. The lyrics of the songs are in English and Shona (Zimbabwean main local language). Blessing is currently one of the fastest raising musicians of his country and performed internationally at many well-known festivals, a.o. HIFA (ZW), Global Isai Festival (India), Barefeet Festival (Zambia), Iguazu En Concieto (ARG), Glatt & Verkehrt
Igeal Njolomah - Bass guitar & Vocals
Igeal Njolomah, born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe is a versatile musician. He is a Bass guitarist, singer and dancer. He graduated with a Professional Certificate in Music with Music Crossroads Academy Zimbabwe (MCAZ) where he majored on the Bass Guitar. He has been to India, Turkey, South Africa, Thailand, Reunion, Zambia and Mauritius on musical tours. He has a passion to share bass technics using his own tone and understanding.
3. Thulani Kawani - Lead guitarist & Saxphone
Thulani Kawani. Born in Harare Zimbabwe. A professional saxophone player & lead guitarists, both performer and a music educator. Acquired formal music education at Zimbabwe College of Music & attained a Bachelor's degree in Jazz Music. Participated in both local & international festivals. Has been to Zambia, South Africa, Turkey, Reunion Island, Mauritius, India & Thailand. Currently teaching music and instruments at local schools and very passionate to share Zimbabwean crazy guitar rhythms and styles.
4. Blessing Muparutsa - Drummer & Percussionist
I'm good at Artist development, specializing in Drum playing, Stage presentation, Stage management, Sound, Stage/ Studio end development, including mixing console. Experienced in all stages of the development cycle for Music projects. Well-versed in numerous music festivals, programming Strong background in Music and art project management and customer relations. Recorded drums for over 200 albums upto date. Toured coutries such as Italy, Denmark, Thailand, India and many more. Currently teaching drums in schools, running a drum service company and supplying drum staff to drummers in Zimbabwe and abroad. Qualified in Audio Engineering of Zim (Cert), Marriage Ministry Institution -Trainer (Cert), Courageous Men -Zam (Cert), Microfinance Management- MEC (certz). Passionate to share the crazy side of Zimbabwean traditional rhythms and excited to mix the Zim drumming into the western drumming.
